Well I'm so glad the VOTM is back up and running that I'm going to pop our '65 in the mix to see what you guys think. I hope you approve.
He's a standard 11 window bus we bought back in 2009. Nothing lairy, 1600 TP, originally shipped to New York then back to here in c.2007. I've straight straight axled it with a Ghia box I brought back from France a few years back along with a T2D kit, and kitted out the back with a basic camping interior, front re trimmed courtesy of Deluxe Interiors near Dunstable (thoroughly nice guys), and bits and bobs done elsewhere. We use him as much poss when the sun shines although he's now fighting for attention with our "new" deluxe (but that can wait for another month
)even found a few pics of him when he was "found" in the States, somewhere near Kansas City as far as I can tell.
And he's currently sporting mostly OG metal and paint which I will keep that way as long as I can. He has taken a whack to the n/s A pillar/wheel arch at some point in the past so some OG will have to go soon
Hope you like!

That is a great looking bus
. Love the day awning too, the paint has come up really well compared to the 'found' picture...

Cheers for the nice comments all. And this is exactly what VOTM is about. Any buses going toe to toe. Rat/OG/patina/new/shiny. Looks like I may have to find some more photos tho!

I think I see what I need to do...........
A bumper:
A window:
Some paint:
And another "found" one for good measure. We've still got the same hibiscus garland hanging from the mirror
I think that should even things up

Long way to go yet in this month, plenty of time to still get the elbow grease and camera outMrPotatoHead wrote:

and who's to say that there won't be more competition.
Lets hope no new buses turn upMrPotatoHead wrote:Cheers for the nice comments all. And this is exactly what VOTM is about. Any buses going toe to toe. Rat/OG/patina/new/shiny. Looks like I may have to find some more photos tho!![]()

Both very nice busses in their own right, so far this month it's a tough call.
I'm a sucker for a '65 velvet green bus.......but Robs is a real looker, perhaps more pics may help, or another entry?
