Opening a safe - without blowing the bloody doors off!!!
Opening a safe - without blowing the bloody doors off!!!

Hi Chaps,
I realise how dodgy this sounds already, but I can promise you it is legit!
Our cheap crap piece of sh*t safe at home has decided to get locked shut.
It is only a cheap one, that you have a keypad and a emergency lock with a key to open...... and here lies the problem.
The batteries for the keypad went flat..... so I decided to use the key to unlock it....... and the lock and the internal parts all fell out!!!
Now I have a locked safe, no keypad and no lock with which to open it!!!
Anyone have any bright ideas???? Worried that an angle grinder will torch the contents (passports etc).

Ha ha
i'm sure there wouldn't be too many sparks inside if its a cheapo safe, single lock mechanism to grind halfway up the door? Other than that then locksmith and get your story straight

Thank you for the video!
Tried the spud, no help!
Tried the hand, hurt it!
Tried a hammer, have mostly broken it!
It now has no plastic etc on the front and the keypad is dead!
I'm almost ready to resort to bad language!!!

Have you got a photo of it? The hinges are normally the best thing to remove.
Don't fear the grinder - make cuts into the corners to weaken the structure and then cold chisel/crowbar

Maybe prop it up on one corner and beat the cr&p out of it on the diagonal with a sledge?
There can't be much strength/structure to it. If you can distort it enough, the door should bust open.
I don't think they're designed to take much punishment, just deter snatch and go thieves.
