Campsites on the Isle of Wight...
Campsites on the Isle of Wight...
by VWsplitUK » Tue Jun 16, 2015 6:12 pm
I'm thinking of taking the family and the Bus to the Isle of Wight in a few weeks. Having never been, can anyone recommend a good dog friendly, VW friendly, pocket friendly, generally friendly campsite? A hookup would be an advantage but not essential.
Thanks loads for any help anyone.

Hiya,
Worth checking out Red Funnel's website - they do a special deal for ferry & a choice of 4 campsites.
We went for easter & it cost us £300 all in - that was ferry (for car & large caravan) & 10 nights at Appledurcombe gardens camp site with hook up for 4 of us & a dog.
Small friendly site with good local walks. Hook up's, small shop, toilets, showers, washing up facilities.
Central position with an hour walk into Shanklin & a half hour walk into Godshill.
Hope that helps.
