What happened to these Barndoors?

HI,
I was wondering what every happened to these barndoors:
1 - The bent "51" then it was "54" barndoor that was from columbia with no vin number that was owned by a guy in the USA but the BD was located in Scotland? I believe it was up for sale for £16k http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1160627
2 - Barndoor number 2 - Another columbian BD, last seen in Manchester.

I actually nearly brought the Uruguayan 54 samba in early 2008. Even payed a deposit then the 52 showed upPastDown wrote:2 - Barndoor number 2 - last seen in Manchester.
It was on thesamba for £6450 which also included a pretty much complete 54 Ambulance in the price AND the shipping to the UK! I think I even talked him down on that price too
But it's a fair bit more now even for a South American.

I viewed the banana-door in darkest Lincolnshire when it was up for £12k and still in Dove blue, driving and MOT'd. I offered him £8k which I thought was very generous of me. He said no.
