Exhaust options... what are you running!?
Exhaust options... what are you running!?
by Toe 2 Toe » Wed Mar 18, 2015 12:08 pm
I have a 1600 twin in mine and am considering the following:

Anyone had any experience good or bad or any recommendations!? Pics of what you have and fitment compared to the rear bumper would be good to see as I don't want to have to adapt or cut the bumper!
Many thanks in advance!

No Photos to hand, but I have a Vintage Speed fitted, great quality & fit, no need to modify bumpers/rear valance etc and gives great ground clearance
. (oh and sounds good too).

When are you thinking of taking the plunge as I may be swopping mine soon, depending on funds, so may be up for sale?
Originally purchased from VW Speed Shop and can't fault it.

Just taking a look to see what is out there suitable for a towbar option.
NOTE - No cutting of bumper etc was required when I installed it.

Both look like good options, would lean more to your style Choc... how long have you had it running for and how much would you be looking at...?
I'm assuming you didn't have to alter your bumper at all...?

No mods at all. Will 'PM' you so our chat doesn't take over the thread.

I have the exact same exhaust in your first link. It is quality, literally dropped into place perfectly. Only thing to mention it is quite a noisy drone while travelling long distances. Not as quiet as the cheaper crappy empi quiet packs.

Annoyingly it looks like VWSpeedshop have dropped their 'Side exit for Heat Exchangers' I've been drooling over fo the last few weeks - its disappeared off their website....
