Actually Joe there was more new cars there than I can remember for a long time.
The four prototype ghias were epic, Dudes bug that won best of show was amazing, the notch drag car downstairs was a work of art, the slammed high top bay outside was just ticking all the boxes and I could go on.
I was however very disappointed with the splits, nothing really new just a load of high dollar, by the numbers restos with no real originality to them. Barndoor Bens sign written 60 was probably my choice of the splits, perfect in every way IMHO.
Regardless of the cars and to some extent the weather it was my best Vokksworld in 15 years, I had an epic time

I'd not been before (I used to be one of the 'locals' who got p***ed off by the traffic jams, so I'd never bothered to go).
The show was 'OK'. Not sure if I'd bother again. I went there primarily to pick up my bench seat from Mike (Fabrik Interiors) and a part from a Dutch guy at the autojumble. I had most the most fun rooting around in that autojumble.
I'd echo Orb's comments about spits. Lots of busses in rows with their owners huddled inside to keep warm. Apart from the ones inside there wasn't anything to say what they were etc, so it felt a bit sterile.
It was nice to see a couple of single cabs there though and the Rometsch(?) cabriolet on the turntable indoors was sweet.

Thanks dude Loved another successful VolksWorld test drive this year .......... and also had a fantastic time. I think that the Bugs were the best thing this year ........... some amazing cars inside, but the Ghia's blew my mind too, and there are always a few other gems dotted around. As for the splits, don't forget Kevo's rare as f*&k 15 window out front, and Phil's "Milk&Two" deluxe. Not quite finished but NICE. All in all I agree that the standard of cars was up on previous years .......... and dammit, I had a jolly good time anyway
