Is this really a '56?
by 1959bus » Mon Sep 21, 2015 4:31 pm
Hi all,
Spotted this on the bay the other day, dosen't look like a '56 to me?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291562087685? ... .S1.R1.TR2
I thought it would be semapore at that age and also the hatch lid has an indent in it - is that not '62/'63?
Just out of interest really but if someone from on here was considering it, they may like to know!
Cheers,
Jon

Could of had a smash / later front clip put on / semaphores welded up I guess, but yes, does look a bit strange.
High hinge, so should be semaphores. Rear window glass looks different.

Instead of a fuel gauge, it's got an Hour counter

It's got a front peak on it so I'm saying it can't be a 56 surely ?

This is an African bus, and not a 56 I wouldn't think. Would be unusual for them to weld up semaphores

The rear engine vents go outwards which means that panel is early split.. Later ones went inwards
