Hi,

Planning the family summer holiday from Glasgow to Cornwall, normally pack everything in the van and on the roof ( 3 bow rack) but usually just weekend camping, will be doing a few stops and thinking about security and space, anyone using a topbox, don't really want to go down the trailer route.

Any pictures of your set up would be good.

Jen had a westy style roof rack, and saw photos of a westy roof box, so she had the idea of adapting the design to be curved to match the roof shape.

Combination locks secure it. We've drive in some bad rain too, and dry inside.

Was also looking to see if anyone is using the modern set up, can't seem to find any pictures of a split with roof bars and box.

Not on roof bars, but my mate has this modern thing on his roof rack. It was liberated from a bmw I'm told, don't know if it's a bmw accessory or a halfords "fit anything" effort!
