ideas on price for set of original fuchs?
ideas on price for set of original fuchs?
by Doka Dave » Wed May 24, 2017 11:34 am
Hi all,
I have been looking online and there seems to be a wide range of sizes and prices that's confusing the life out of me lol
Anyway, does anybody have a rough idea of the value of a set of 6x15s ?
Also, I have seen different centre caps - some black, some silver. Were both colours available new?
Thanks in advance for any pointers!!
Cheers,
DD

450-500€ for a wheel.
Everything less is a good buy at the moment.

Watching the replies, as I've a set of OG wheels, with caps, fully polished. Plus some extra black and silver caps too.
Heart Fuch demand a higher price tag, guess a bit like Crows Feet steels.
I did a valuation on a bus recently, and he said the wheels cost him £4k....! Though I think they saw him coming.

Is that price tag for mint condition original / refurbished? Or just nice unkerb'd used wheels?henk wrote:450-500€ for a wheel.

That is for a unkurbed used wheel.
As said prices vary a lot,4,5 and deep six wheels are fetching more.
I have seen prices for a 4,5 up to 1000€ a wheel as well, but at that prices it takes a long time to sell.
The 15 " wheels seems to get some better prices as well then the 16" wheels.
Not sure about the centercaps but i think that you had them in silver and in black.
Could be that the 15" had the silver caps, and the 16" had the black caps as these had complete black spokes.

There are two different style 6"fuchs wheels, the early 6" deep dish and the later 6" flat.
The deep dish has a bigger edge or lip how you call it and i think needs an inner tyre.
The later ones don't need an inner tyre.
Could be some other differnces as well but i should check on that like ET or so.
The early ones are the more sought ones,i have the later ones myself on my beetle.

Almost everything you need to know is on the first page here:

Earlies all have three prong caps which I've only seen in silver personally but that doesn't mean black didn't exist too
