The VW Engine Company - Catford

Hi

The person who used to maintain my 63 Split has now retired so I am looking for someone new in SE London and it is proving quite difficult. The VW Engine Company 130-132 Verdant Lane is not that far from me, so I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of using them either good or bad. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I also need to have a few touch ups on the paint work, if anyone could recommend anyone in SE london that would be great.

I had a 1776 supplied and fitted by them in January this year. Funnily enough it had it’s 500 mile service and check up today. I can confidently say they were fantastic, and the engine is going great - no complaints from me!

Great help from my first call for information through to test drive on collection.
Friendly and very knowledgeable
Not quite to my 500 mile service, but all good so far

I went for a 1641, little extra torque

Wrong - they give no more torque than a stock 1600. Not a good choice for a big heavy bus as they run hot. 1776 is much better - loads more power and torque and they run cool.
