Hi

Is it just me or do nearly all the BD and early buses have the rear bumper missing.......they are nearly as elusive as 6 legged middle seats

Is there a warehouse in Europe with them all stacked high??? Surely if you owned one of these buses you would't just forget to put one back on your bus????

cheers thought we would try somthing new!! very excited now its nearly time to pick it up!! mmmm what to do this weekend!! redecorate the house...................or just drive about all weekend in the bus!! hard choice!!..................not!!

I agree Chris, my Panel van had no rear bumper, and a kind man from Swansea helped me out

You think they are rare over there , you should see how hard it is to get one here.
You have all of Europe to find one, we didnt get that many ribbed buses, and those that you do see never have the rear bumper.
I was told by an old VW mechanic that when they were serviced by the owner they would think it was too hard to keep putting them on and off so just left them off.

I had a spare set for my old van, it took 3 years to find them and then in a fit of madness I sold them???

Hey Muscle Bus... I still have that ribbed rear bumper on the shelf that you said you would definately buy Do you want it or not? It's gonna be for sale at the Ace, so let me know...
The reason rear bumpers are always missing is down to the fact that when scrapyards take buses in they remove the rear bumper to get the engine out to sell. Bus gets moved, bumper gets separated from vehicle. It's as simple as that...

doesn't alan schofield make a rear repro.

i also thought that status were getting in fronts too

there was a few nos ones kicking about a vanfest, but they weren't perfect.

....rear ribbers?!-nah!-who needs em!!!!
