TomTom POI for bus repairers

TomTom POI for bus repairers

by DubDays » Sun Dec 31, 2006 3:23 pm
I've had a brain wave to put the above together so that if out and about and something goes wrong I know where the nearset help is :)

What's the best way to get a list together of all the (reputable) bus repairers? Could we do it on here? e.g. everyone throw me the details of their repairer of choice an i'll create the OV2 files for TomTom.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Eventually could be expanded to include europe as well. 8)

So what's the best way to do this? Make the post a sticky and everyone start adding their repairers to it? Any mods out there?

in a similar vein the triumph club has a handbook of people available to help if you breakdown in that area

marvelous. OK guys, start adding the repairers of choice. As much detail as you have, name, address, phone number etc.

What I was thinking although several are not in there.

www.vwmagazine.co.uk does have a link to a register as well but once again not comprehensive

How about doing one with celebs voices, its gotta be a money spinner.
I wud like one with Peter Kays voice, saying, Garlic Bread Garlic Bread, everytime I come close to a camera. Or even "whats weather like" when I get close to Leiscester  . You used to get them on answering machines, and shoild brighten up journeys for northerners (like me) :D

wow, that was really tedious! :)

I've got v1.0 available which has all of the people listed in the SSVC handbook. As you all know, a lot of these people operate out of barns on farms so the info won't be 100% accurate but does include the businesses phone number should you get a bit lost.

If anyone finds that the POI is inaccurate please send me the corrected details and I'll update and repost.

If you have a tom tom with Bluetooth for your mobile...

have a look at what you can do if you register and then set up your buddies.....

You can send your location to mates and even converge on teh same point.
