Due to the success of Barn Door Campout #1 last year, we have decided to run the meeting again this year.
Provisionally, dates for Barn Door Campout #2 will be the 17th/18th of September. More information to follow.

The agenda:

Friday
Weekend kicks off at 02:00 pm
Welcome pack on arrival. Unloading buses and setting up camp. Swapping and trading Barn Door parts etc.
Evening, a casual affair probably spent in the pub.

Saturday
Communal breakfast. Swapping and trading Barn Door parts again.
Barn Door line up and photo shoot. Evening spent in the pub for the highly entertaining VW Pup Quiz (anyone want to organize this?).

Sunday
Communal breakfast, more trading, second photo shoot, Volksworld/SSVC mag, then possible cruise to local place of interest (pending).
Weekend comes to an end when the last person leaves! Probably around about 03:00/04:00 pm.

Attached is a map of the venues location. The blue tankard represents the pub, along with the blue “P” representing parking (or on the weekend of the barn door meet, camping!). The address is: The Swan Hotel (pub), Bampton, Nr. Oxford, OX18 2SX. The food is excellent and prices reasonable.

This Venue is located on the edge of the Cotswold’s, and as you can see from the map, on an island in the middle of the Thames river! The area also has lots to offer for those of you who might want to get out and about.

The camping field opens on Friday (16th of Septembre) and there’s plenty of room for everyone, so if you have a barn door, please try and make it regardless of the condition of your bus, you will be made more than welcome, even if your bus is a trailer queen.

If you wish to attend but will not be coming in a barn door, you are more than welcome, however with all due respect, you will need to park your vehicle towards to back of the campsite, in order to leave enough space to enable us to juggle buses around for the photo sessions.

A one-off plaque will be presented to all barn door bus owners that participate, remember

Finally, All barn door buses from mainland Europe, participating in this event, will get a free weekend pass.

Its inevitably going to clash with some sort of show, however I’m trying to avoid the “big” ones.
