Im getting a 2110 engine from JMR, now need a gearbox to go with it. Spoke with Cogbox and got a price, just need other recommendations to get a comparison from. i can only find Rancos off UK Heritage. Are there any other reputable places for gearboxes to compliment JMR's work?

Jenni did 10's of thousands of miles on a £50 unknown health IRS gearbox with her JMR 2110cc so it is possible to use a stock bus without killing it.
Rancho's can be bought direct or there's a few people selling them through ebay 'shops'

Why do you think you need a heavy duty built box? Are you planning on dragging it regularly or having a line loc fitted for the traffic light grand prix? If not I'd be more inclined to source a second hand 1303s box from a reputable seller on here or a known good box from on here. I got one for my bro in law from Onion on here who's generally got a few in stock, he said if I fitted it and it was dud he'd happily take it back and, knowing his reputation I have no reason to doubt that he would.

In which case I would be looking to source a known good box from a 1303s bug.

Specifically a single side cover one as it has brazed 3rd and 4th, stronger first and stronger gears in the diff.

Yes an AT or DC (type 3) one - as long as it has the single side cover
