i thought it was a great idea because the phone will be fully charged and as long as there is a signal it could be traced

mobile phones can be tracked-somewhere on the net is a website that will let you know where a mobile phone is-it works the same as a tracker but cheaper :lol:

was in one of the classic car mags about 2005?

ive tried it, the phone was on my worktop and the track said it was about 10 mins in the car away

Just fit air-ride, slam it when parked, the rails are on the floor and if you whip the fuses out of the compressor feed, they're stuffed! It wont move believe me!
Or as a cheaper alternative take out the rotor, or make up a fake plug lead, that'll baffle them for a bit! still wont stop them putting it on the back of a truck though! Sorry!

Fuel cut off valve - won't stop them towing it away but with a discreet switch mounted out of the way they'll only drive as far as the fuel between the valve and the carb will let them. Doubles up as a great safety feature too as you can stop the fuel coming out of the tank as and when you want:
