Last digits on the bottom right fella...
Just to say I've just spoken to the Wolfsburg Museum as I ordered my certificate over 6 weeks ago, firstly it seems their email address has changed and also the phone number (After listening to the recorded message a few times I managed to get some use out of the broken German I know and right the correct number down....)
It seems they have a large amount of requests at the moment and could be another 4-6 weeks before any get shipped.
Phone number if anyone else needs it is

Just out of interest when did you apply for yours.
They are very quick to take payment.
Don't suppose there is anyone in the UK that can do a replica Chassis plate and M plate?

Brill my certificate turned up yesterday, so they must be working through the back log, only a little over a month.
confirms a few things and answers a couple of questions.
But shows 2 unkown codes which is odd 007 and 018.
Oh well for its age i'd expect a few records to be missing
Anyone know if some does repro plates now

Hi ya
Can you confirm if they need all of the information. The engine I have is certainly not the original and doesn't have a number on it. Also by model do they mean Kombi or 211?
Many thanks
Brett

What a rip off, € 50.00.!!!!
If you own a Volkswagen and would like to know more about its history, order our Vehicle Identity Certificate for a fee of only € 50.00.

I recently got a birth certificate - took about 3-4 weeks - fair enough
The bus had no m plate. It is a nice document but having looked at it if you do have an m plate I dont think its worth €50.
I'm not going to order one for another bus I have.
The certificate gave no indication of the engine number supplied with it either - which for this amount of money seems wrong?
Also I have two engines of the same year with it and would not know which is original, if at all.
How do you find out matching numbers engine?

I read somewhere on this forum that they wont now give out the engine number due to data protection act
but if you give them an engine number they will confirm whether it corresponds with their records. Hope that helps
