Thanks for the reminder (every time - we've been away 3 weekends in a row, you'd think I'd remember by now )

How's this: VW Action Saturday, sack water cooled teenagers at Edition and drive up home then back down to York just me and the old girl? May need mechanical backup from fellow SSVC's in case of emergency - DO stop if we're at the side of the road and I'm NOT just doing my hair or something! Changing light bulbs is nearly my total limit. Also do 'saying hello's' I'm potentially a Billy no mates doing this. Esp as a newbie!

Well got to field of dreams this afternoon. Asked where the entertainment/ stalls are as I couldn't see anything. I was told to leave the camp area, walk 1/2 mile along the road under the bridge and to the far end of the race course and into the other site?
We then got told if we don't have a gold wrist band then we can't get into that area so to walk another 5 mins around the area to a gate( still following this )
We then got to a gate that was closed and couldn't get into the show area? By this time we just opened the fence apart and snook in.
Nothing too see so walked back to the bus ( I suppose it killed an hour)
Beginning to wish We had gone to vw action.
Lets hope thing pick up

Been speaking to a few folks tonight as I was going to go but can't now.
Not heard anything positive so far.
Apparently one camp site it on the other side of the race track and they won't let you cross the track so it's a half hour walk to the main area???
May be an exaggeration but I'm sure Kate wouldn't of let this happen.

Oh boo, Plan B - Stay at Action and pop into York on the way home?
Benefits: Drink Cider, dance & sing, make ass of self, see night racing, save about 5 hours sleep, save about 6 hours driving, save £40 in petrol, drive easy modern car...
But I don't usually take the easy option?
Lets see how things pan out?

TBH when they started talking about dog shows I was having doubts, as you say such a shame after all the effort.maddison wrote:Wouldn't bother coming here to York , nice camping but the show is a joke TBH

Guess it may pick up on Saturday, remember at first they were saying you had to look after yourself on the Friday, no entertainment/food etc so fingers crossed.
