I'm in the east field too, does this open on Tuesday night like the car parks? or Wednesday morning with the festival gates?

have thought of some more questions :D

is the camping a bit more organized than in the tent fields, ie are you told where to park your van? or is it just ram it where you want and claim as much space as you can. Not been in the camper before, just roughed it in the tent

I found this which answered my questions:

They generally have stewards guiding you in and directing you where to park. If you have a awning and they are trying to ram you in next to another just let them know and they will give you space.

its more organized, you'll be directed to a straightish space...like above...just tell them if you need space...or wait 5 mins till they have moved down the line then do what the hell you want

Wednesday and Thursday they are well organised then it usually starts to slip and people will squeeze into spaces you wouldn't think possible. Don't give anyone the opportunity to block you in if you want to leave early on Monday.

Thanks guys, we are hoping to be there Tuesday teatime so hopefully it should all be quite civilised. My awning just arrived today so I'm gonna have to go trial it to see how much space we need. Didn't think I'd be as excited as I am but can't wait. We got married 2 months ago and this is our honeymoon :flower:
