I too am looking to make a headliner for my late 59 bus. Does anyone have dimensions to help me make a template please and/or a headliner to use as a template please?

Bump! Can anyone please provide dimensions for a full headliner? I have been looking at buying cloth headliner by the meter. This comes in 59" or 60" widths - this appears to be the same width as bus so is it stretched to fit or do I need to find a wider roll to buy from?

You've probably done it now but I (well my wife and I) did ours and I'm happy with the result. We made ours probably over wide by cutting separate panels along the length of the fabric and then stitching them together to form the pockets. I wouldn't be put off doing another one.

I still haven't got round to this but did buy the cloth a few years back... I'll get to it one day. I'm glad to hear you had success! Dave

Chris here from Wonderland Classics (headliners!)... we can make your headliner for you out of you're own fabric if that helps, we've made many custom headliners for customers.
We obviously charge to do it as our upholsterer needs paying but not a fortune and you know it'll fit and be right for your van.
I fully understand if you'd rather do it yourself as sometimes that's the more important thing!
I also have fitting instructions I made up years ago if that helps that I can email you.
