Anyone know if the insurers give a discount for having a fire suppression system fitted ? Maybe we need a petition to them ?

If you take the time to go through the downloads there is some very good research and insight into the effect E10 fuel may have on older cars.
Interesting they say only to stick with clearly established and marked-up brands ; avoid "unbranded" fuel hose.

I bought this R9 rated fuel line from Codan and it was significantly cheaper than anywhere else :-

In addition to the Rover V8 stuff it's worth being aware that adjustable fuel pressure regulators are also susceptible to the same problems. I was speaking to someone yesterday who had this problem causing a leak under the adjuster
I guess that is an argument for running a fuel pump that doesn't require one as their internals are a completely sealed

Yup I can vouch for that. I had a sytech regulator on mine and after a nice mellow drive home from Santa pod I started the bus up to pop out again and saw the trail of petrol I was leaving on the floor
Had a look and the diaphragm had split and the regulator was spraying fuel all over my nice hot engine. Had this happened whilst I was sat at 70mph on the motorway I probably wouldn't have noticed until it was too late.
I've since replace the sh!tty sytech one with a fuel king regulator and filter.

Noted that the kits sold by Machine7 and alot of you are running with jubilee clips or screw metal clamps for the fuel lines.
New cars have spring clips rather than jubilee clips for the fuel lines as unlike jubilee clips they have a constant pressure regardless of temperature.

Have you guys look at the metric fuel line from Belmetric.com:

It comes in 5mm size which is very close to OG and has held up well for me in the last year. Many others are using
it as well.
