Amazing story, well done.

If you ever need a car transporter trailer again, I have one available, I'm only in Devon (& it has a winch!)

I feel your pain 8O this was me last year, just got off the ferry at Le Havre and was confronted with heavy snow. I just about managed 17KPH towing the tractor and really pi55ed off a lot of french. Slid all over the place and I HAD snow tyres 8O

The 2 huge bridges I came over, dont ask me how I took the steepness, it was heart stopping. But, got to the house in one piece :bounce: This truly is a GREAT read, thanks, and a pleasure to see such a rare girl on our shores.

Joe,

17 KPH ???

Surely the tractor would have been quicker ?

You should have swapped the T25 and the tractor over

Now that would have been interesting on the motorway 8O

Fantastic bit of treasure hunting! very cool story and adventure.

Sorry if I've missed the explanation but what is the deal with the canvass rear roof and upper side panels, does anyone have a picture of what they would have looked like originally as its looks fascinating

EDIT this seems to explain it:-http://www.eurobox-vw.com/51.htm
