Mate just sent me these pics of his dads old bus in 67,looks like a converted panel i told him & he said yeah local coachworks converted it. He said it got buried in a local pit many years ago :(
Looks like a RHD double door,59 or older

I have a friend who dug up mk1 ford Granada from a pit,it had survived remarkably well, go dig it up

Buried can be a good preserve.

Marks kemps panel comes to mind.
Dai's 15 was buried in a stone quarry. That did suffer though :wink: not that that will stop him :D

Looks like a 55! How about organising an SSVC digging meet? Well worth exhuming especially as it's in the east perhaps on free-draining soil so the bus might be in one piece.

I know the area where it is but not the exact spot,i'll have to ask my mate to ask his dad,see if he can remember,see if he remembers whether it got crushed or not!

Are you all forgetting that it probably rotted off its wheels, hence why it was entombed in first place :lol: :lol: :lol: hahahahaha

Yeah i thought that,did'nt even enter my head bout looking for it till the mad buggers on here spoke up :lol:

Well if it was complete there will many parrts that have survived , and as said earlier you may be surprised whats left of it

Well, we've recently had a very successful Tech Weekend at Eddy's .... I don't see why an Time Team stylee Dig Weekend wouldn't work :wink:

I've spoken to my mate today,he knows exactly where it's buried,it was in a farm pit,he's going to find out more details from his dad as to whether it got crushed etc & what's on top of it. When I get chance i'll go have a look at the site as it's only bout 10 miles from me,& see what it's like incase there are trees etc now on top,keep you all posted.
