Headlining, repairing tears

Headlining, repairing tears

by dustysplit » Wed Aug 26, 2015 2:03 pm
Has anyone repaired a tear in their headlining successfully?
I have 2 tears in mine, one by the interior light and one near the side, I want to repair it as the headlining is original.
Was perhaps thinking loosen the headlining and use contact adhesive on a patch on the inside, similar to a tent repair, worried about the adhesive bleeding through though.
Any help appreciated, thanks . :)

Interested in this too - as my original headling has a small tear too.
I was thinking along the lines of a baseball stitch to pull the edges together.....

…just pop a few pre glued inner tube puncture repair patches on along the rip (on the other side - obvz ;-)
