A writer in one of the classic car mags recommended this Owatrol Oil for protecting rusty surfaces that you do not want to paint:

The underside of my split is rusty but 100% solid and OG. I do not wish to paint it, just protect it and keep the OG look. Has anybody tried this stuff

Never used it...always gone for Dinitrol, but if you do give it a go will you post some feedback on here and let us know what you think ?

Never used Owatrol Oil but FWIW I used their Seasonite on fresh cut white cedar decking and it did exactly what they said....
