Should we be worried?

E10 contains up to 10% ethanol. A lot of peeps on here use this stuff which is 100% ethanol friendly.

I don't know but when I used E10 in France earlier this year the bus didn't seem to like it that much. However it could have been another problem as I broke down on the way back which turned out to be a spark problem.

I don't know about the implications for the heads, but as the % increases they'll be more carb issues as the ethanol isn't friendly to carb internals.

I know it's more expensive, but isn't the super unleaded a bit more carb and fuel line friendly?

The super unleaded burns at a higher temperature, so I`m unsure of the implications for our cylinder heads long term.
Supermarket fuels tend to have a different mix of additives to the big companies and we have lots of issues with this.
What the long term effects of the higher ethanol content will have, especially on the fuel line internals, only time will tell.
If we believe the fuel companies hype, then there won`t be any issues. Don`t believe it for a second!
As Jim says, carb internals will probably suffer first.

Google ethanol free fuel stations near me and you’ll get a list of petrol stations that have a no ethanol option.
