Old Vans!

Old Vans!

by jules73 » Sun Jan 30, 2011 7:52 pm
Hi everybody my name is Julian. Im wondering if anyone can help?
I havent owned a Split or been a member of ssvc since about 1996 but have been dreaming about another ever since!
Soon as I finish my 76 Cadillac resto thats whats next! Cant believe I havent sat behind that massive flat steering wheel for over 14 years! Ill have to post some photos of my vans.
So thats where the help comes in. Im trying to find out if my 66 and 67 are still out there?
My 66 was a Devon carrevette in green and white reg was FOD 261D.
But my pride and joy was Jodie!(Thats what we called her) She was a velvet green 67 Devon torvette!
Reg was JOD 759E. Took her to bvf in about 95ish? and Vw action at Weston park.
Hopefully someone may know of either of them. I'd love to know there still about. Cheers Julian

Just Googled FOD 261D just to see if anything out there and found this 4 year old post.

Jules73,

I have owned FOD 261D for the past 21 years...She is a Canterbury pitt and had a dormobile roof when I originally bought her. She had been sprayed in that awful vauxhall purple colour that was popular in the 90's. She has had 2 restorations under my custody. If you would like to see any pictures please PM me and I would be interested in your history with her and copies of any pictures you may have.

Regards
Simon

Yep that's my ugly mug in front of the bus...Glad to say that I've lost a little weight since then
That was pre restoration number 2..although the colour hasn't changed. just the wheels and lots of subtle details
