Is it that green/ rust patina bug on the Samba website?

If its driveable you can drive it back, It'll be a long but cool road trip.

TRY

SHIPLY.COM

I had my samba transported back from the very top of Sweden for 1000 pound by a polish driver in the back of a covered truck!!

worth a try!!!

I assume you would be collecting the bug yourself with a trailer?

I'm not sure if there is a ferry that runs between Newcastle and Denmark, if there is, it'll be an over night trip, once in Denmark you'll have to travel into Sweden and get another overnight ferry to Finland.

By the way the it's not cheap in either of the countries.

Hey Pastdown.....

i was planning to go get it myself on a trailer but i worked out that in fuel alone it would be in excess of a grand........plus food and other misc expenses.......

have had quotes fo roro from Turku to the UK of about 500 EUR...which is looking like my best option....

I did bring a 51 back this way a couple of years back and all got here in one piece.....

just kinda miss that romanticism that goes with a long haul road trip going to collect the car and bringing it back by myself.......

I'd have come with you Christian - could have made it a Weed Huggers road trip to remember... You know I'm good with a map - turn as you go and you never get lost...
