Just been out in the garage and fired up the Blaupunkt



I spent the week reading up on old radios, doing searches on the samba, because I don't have a good track recored with electrics (I had no idea you could bust a radio by putting power though it without speakers connected... )

Turns out mine is one of the last models, probably fitted to a 911 or 912 Not totally correct for the bus, but still looks good.

Big thank you to Rich Oakley for excellent advice (I didn't know if it needed the external powerpack most earlier Franfurts came with...) and John Katastrophenshutzwagen, for getting me a really good deal (It was nice to meet Henrick as well, top fella )

Next stop, speakers and aerial.... Fancy mounting mine in the middle of the nose, like Clives or Moodys...

..Deano- how much was that key, again?- i've just been quoted $68.50 from Gabriel to cut a huf blank & send it- seems a bit steep..
