We got a 6v FM Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio for the dash!
Wey hey! Sounds! 8) We've got fed up talking to each other. :wink:
2 huge biscuits for the kids,
set of points and
a fan belt (to replace the one Dean had off us)

wiper motor for the '53

Hella Convoy light

set of hub caps

early bus headlight lens

bottle opener and magnetic old St Christopher for the '53 dash

err.. think thats it... apart from all the crepes!!! :lol:

..Well, crepes, obviously & Wursts & chips & that meat concoction & chips & crepes.....

...and an early BD starter button
- a NOS 6 fuse holder ( inc fuses & card)
- a good, used 6 fuse holder
- a dash plate, complete with ignition switch, nobs, etc- A1 nick
- an Oct 52 speedo for rebuilding
- a BD door escucheon
- a pair of damaged ribbed semaphores for parts
- a magnetic calendar






...oh, & a pre-52 BD pod to house most of the above.....RHD- YES , a RHD pre-52 BD pod!- I almost fainted! :wink: 8O :twisted:

Just been out in the garage and fired up the Blaupunkt 8) 8) 8)

I spent the week reading up on old radios, doing searches on the samba, because I don't have a good track recored with electrics :oops: (I had no idea you could bust a radio by putting power though it without speakers connected... :roll: )

Turns out mine is one of the last models, probably fitted to a 911 or 912 8) Not totally correct for the bus, but still looks good.

Big thank you to Rich Oakley for excellent advice (I didn't know if it needed the external powerpack most earlier Franfurts came with...) and John Katastrophenshutzwagen, for getting me a really good deal 8) (It was nice to meet Henrick as well, top fella 8) )

Next stop, speakers and aerial.... Fancy mounting mine in the middle of the nose, like Clives or Moodys...

..Deano- how much was that key, again?- i've just been quoted $68.50 from Gabriel to cut a huf blank & send it- seems a bit steep.. :roll: :twisted:
