Delivery companies!

Something is packaged in bubble wrap......
Labelled FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE... Still arrived damaged.
When you write FRAGILE, is this secret code for let's play football with it?
I was in the shower when door went so hurried down, signed for it and then jumped back in shower. When out, went back down, opened it up and.....
Very nice retro thermos......
No come back as I've signed to say its ok on delivery.
Upset and pi$$ed off is putting it mildly.
ALWAYS CHECK CONTENTS BEFORE SIGNING I GUESS.

Humm... Just called the company and they said it didn't matter that I signed for it, re the damage. But the sender has to contact the company.
We shall see.
We shall see.

I doubt they will pay out, not well enough packaged.
If the item in the box won't survive being drop kicked 15 metres out of the back of the van then it isn't well enough packaged.
And of course a FRAGILE label means chuck it even harder.

Yodel are having all sorts of issues at the moment and nearly always fail to collect. Even were on the radio apologising the other day to their customers, but still not sorted their issues...
FedEx lost some paperwork needed to accompany a parcel to the US, so they returned it to sender. Then refused to send it again FOC even though they accepted they had lost the paperwork....
Parcel Farce, don't even get me started on that bunch of idiots...
Whenever I've had stuff damaged, the claim has always been paid. Though never sent glass items... that might be different.

You want to try Citylink Jim - not - they fecked up every collection I booked in December. Mostly they never turned up at all - I will NEVER use them again. Total bunch of plonkers.
I now use the more expensive guys, especially for high end things like guitars. UPS have been OK

Ha ha city link., yodel, Hermes all used by parcel2go.cok. Never again! had so many failed collections. Had a delivery of a very expensive gearbox that looked like they just pushed it of the back of the wagon. It was on a pallet, bubble wrapped and shrink wrapped. Bell housing was smashed
as I had signed for it I had no come back. I always sign as damaged now whether it's ok or not. Then you have comeback.

YET AGAIN!!!
Sent a roof rack (not best thing to send) but again Yodel collected, blah blah blah... Arrived bent! So badly bent that it had twisted the tubing on top from the impact on the foot!!!!
It wasn't just dropped... This thing was hurled across a warehouse.
So who do I use?
This should be funny.... Maybe sending some glass side windows next!!!

Don't use Nightfrieght! You have no way of tracking your parcel. I waited in 5 days waiting for a bike to be delivered and the woman on the end of the phone I was ringing daily was as thick as mince, kept telling me it MIGHT be delivered today!! Well surely you know if the beeping parcel is on the truck or not!!
I think there's a lot to be said for using fellow minded people on a site like this, most seem more than happy to help each other out, what goes around comes around.
End of rant, I'm going to enjoy the sun!!

i used to use UPS as my preffered as i trusted them (well, the old guy who collects from me)
but to be honest, they are all as bad as each other
i,ve currently got x3 la casterlet alloys as I sent x4...they lost 1
and made no effort to find it,,,,how hard can it be to find an alloy wheel & tyre ??? (that was totally taped and secured to 1 of the ones that got returned
basically lost £300 cos of that
many more similar stories...none can be trusted, if its an expensive item, make the buyer pay the extra insurance or accept no responsability, its the only way too protect yourself

I will add one to the list, DVS (think mainly cater for south of uk and Channel Islands).
They had my engine on a pallet board for two weeks, took me days of phone calls to track where it had gone. i was told it had been delivered to their offices in Jersey two weeks ago and they told me they had no idea why until the bloke actually tripped over the pallet board whilst looking for it on the phone to me.
Muppets and agree that they are all as bad as each other!
