I have a RHD 66 Torvette Standard.
The interior is in good condition apart from I don't have any rear drawers, but I think they were an option, and I'm missing the cushion that sits on top of the easycool (anyone have a spare piece of green duracour?).
If you need any photos/measurements let me know.
Neil.
OMG!!!!
Look at that 'Flintstone" floor!!
This is what I/we have been looking for....... your offer of photos would be much appreciated.
I have decided to recover all my cushions in a pretty close copy of the original Duracour that a couple of us found down here in NZ, I still have the original covers that are very old and faded. I would be happy to post these over to you and Sean to at least aid with repairs etc to your originals.
My interior is now mostly complete, like yourself, need the rear drawers. The only other pieces I am after are the table legs, long and short.
Sean, it looks like you have the short slider bulkhead cupboard that would indicate it is from a 'walkthrough', rather than the long cupboard for the Standard that Neil(Tractionman) has posted. The Easicool looks awesome and those original Devon curtains!!

I have one or maybe two short ones...from a Bay I think... I could provide these to you Peter..

Hi G
There are only two curtains and they may be up for grabs? if you're interested
I have four short (maybe 6 inch) and four long legs, I appear to have two of the sliding piece seat top bits with one having an attached speaker in the same cloth and on with a water pump, really confusing
Cheers

I am I am BUT send me the sizes...
I will try to help interpret what you have...
I have some short legs one and one butchered I believe.
I do hope that we see more of the 66 TORVETTE pictures to expand the collective knowledge...
I can help with nerdy details on black japanned wood screws and black cups and screw sources.
Having taken my interior from Pebbles out I extracted the sometimes very rusty screws and progressively found SS screws of the same head thread and length.
Your bus colours look really nice.
When you come to do the floor we can help with suggested thickness and sizes.
Because your bus is LHD you may not want to modify the interior? Brian BJ1 reversed a Spaceway interior and knows first hand what you can do and what needs doing if do choose to swap it round.
First the wood flooring then the covering...lino or madmatz tiles in.... umm black or red and white...then fit up the rear seat and cupboards and easicool etc.
I have a suspicion that division DEVON TORVETTEs may not have had rear drawers. All seem to be looking for them mm mm

I need to get the van out of the garage to take some decent pictures of the inside. I don't seem to have many.
If it's dry I might be able to get some taken tomorrow morning.
He's one I found looking into the rear of the van:

There would be no need for a rear drawer to house the spare wheel unlike the Spaceway version. And it would perhaps explain the double O/S rear cupboard?
Sean the photo showing one of your bulkhead / buddy seat slider units looks like the aluminium beading extends round three sides which would suggest as Graham says it is a walk-through model. Hard to see from the photos though as the other one looks to have an end missing?
Enjoying seeing the secret Torvette owners club coming out of the woodwork (pun intended).

Yes because the double cupboard comes really low and if there were drawers the total available width for s cushioned infant bed would be removed..
So I can see no reason for TORVETTE owners to think the drawers are missing. Looking closely at the superb informative photo of the TORVETTE luggage area I cannot see any tell tale screw holes indicating missing drawers.

I always assumed it didn't have drawers or they were an option as the specifications page from the 66 brochure only mentions drawers for the Caravette and not the Torvette.

Wow, stunning, thank you!!
I would love to see/hear more of this bus, looks amazing. How long have you owned it and do you know much of it's history? From your first photo I can see the two tone paint job, is it a Microbus? Mine is based on a solid Velvet Green Kombi which is what I thought the Torvette model used?
As I mentioned, happy to post you some old fabric if it is of any use? You mentioned you were after some duracour to make cushion above easicool, PM if you like.
Agreeing with type21f and clymoj about the drawers and there being no need with the 'Standard', spare wheel is housed in it's original position. My Torvette shows no signs of there being any.

The bus is a Kombi and was originally all Pearl White. I've had it for a little over 3 years. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of history, but most of the bodywork was done before my time, including adding second colour, and deluxe trim. If/when it needs a repaint I will probably go back to the original colour. I've been rebuilding all things mechanical over the last couple of years.
The door strap is not standard by the easycool. It was added because the deluxe trim doesn't allow the door to open back flat.
The sun was out this afternoon so here are a few more pictures of the inside. I hope they help.

Excellent...now i have something to look at..
Next question!
Could you measure the cushion sizes and where they fit and the surface sizes of the seats/ backs and rear luggage area.
I have some cushions I am trying to find a suitable conversion they will fit!
I have to say that is one very nicely kept original bus...green with envy.
Lots of DICS have now learned what a Division Torvette is fitted out like...
What are the legs that came with the bus...??? Please!
I now see the Torvette Cooker I am looking for!
If anyone has one they want to sell? Exactly like that!
