That would be great as always better to copy an original part to get the bends correct when making a jig.
I see you're in Rickmansworth, would it be possible to borrow it on my way past one weekend, and they return it the next time I'm passing as I travel up and back between Hampshire & Suffolk quite frequently.

Cheers,
Jim

So I hope I will be collecting my shroud at the week end and confirm if my plate rack gap is the same as the BJ1 drawing..
To confirm if there are variations..

"Not sure if there are different sizes for different cooker shields..

Just need to make sure.." quote

Examined a Bay plate rack and a 65 plate rack..

Not yet measured...But these cookers have slightly different forms...

I would expect the cooker dimensions to be similar..but until I compare I am not sure.

Some models are fixed into unit..

Swing out WT bus units with shroud attached to metal case lower fixed into cabinet.

Some are lift out with shroud n handles attached to steel base.

All seem to be based on the cooker sitting on formed rails on the side on the lower steel case.
The shrouds are hinged onto the inner face of the case..so I think..
Common width for white enamel topped cooker should equal common shroud and plate rack.
But I will measure the rack I have see if it fits the case n shroud I have from a 69 Bay.

One issue I have observed is that on 64 65 66 lift out cookers the shroud is angled in at the top so it clears the top of the bus window and curtains.

My 65 bus has scars in the C pillar trim from shroud cutting the vinyl. PATINA.

I know that the shroud from a fixed unit for the swing out cooker does not need to be sloped in at the back and a recent comment made of a later Bay WT swing out cooker shield clashing with the side windows when attempting to use it in a rear cooker cupboard unit at the side of a 65 split samba bus..

Cooker had to be moved forward and then the knobs clashed with the drop down lid.

So shroud had to be modified to suit.

Not physically seen yet.

So need to be very clear that the design and sizes are correct for the missing item before you start a production line Jim!

Ah..
Your new cooker Scotty..?
Is that not from a 67?
WT?
Swing out unit?
An Argyl New World cooker?

Label on front, plate on back.

Fixed base alloy lower case.
Same system on this cooker sitting on formed rails on the sides of the lower case..

Maybe the dimensions are the same?
Again need to check..

I have collected my eBay donor cooker and shroud from the owner of a 69 bay.

Thanks for the tip off Boyden.

Simon the seller had been collecting cookers as donors of parts to make a complete unit.

Nice chap Simon.. into late Bay Devons.

Did not establish if this was exactly the same form as fitted to his 69 Bay..

This one donated the pan support wire I think..

I mainly wanted the lift out case n shroud but may have to use it as is

Note the sloping in back at the top.
Result!

I asked about the plate rack..
He is also looking for one... LOL.
