Been trying to buy some wooden coathangers just like those but as fast as I have been aquiring the SWMBO has been putting my clothes on them and sending them to the charity shop..
The interiors as you can gather changed over the years and yes there was a 1963 Devonette only Brochure and a picture in the earlier 1961 Flyer and 1962 brochure.
I have written several threads,,on my search for Devonette interior pieces..
Rocket Ron and Maddison have helped with providing mising pieces... Even got a Devonette badge now... oly took eight years to find that...LOL
The Apostles have been following..my search...
Sherry the topless Devonette needs an update....been working to get Peebles to MOT for my youngest son's wedding..
It was my eldest son who came with me to se the bus you had Chris... Long time ago now...before you moved!
Devon have quite a practical layout in their own way...just like CPs..
Sorry to read of your forced search for another Chris..
Best of Luck..

Yeah time sure flies!
Thanks, it's not an easy task finding a replacement (especially when you find out you were under insured!

So ideally this might be the way to go with a blank canvas in the rear bus?

I'm sure you know this but don't forget a Devon will limit you to RHD buses, or you will need to convert from one to the other (either bus or interior). RHD buses are harder to find, more expensive and will probably need A LOT more metal work if it hasn't already been done.
Just a consideration.
I think if I was getting interior before bus I might buy that lovely Westy Mosaic interior that's currently for sale and then either save slightly longer or buy a cheaper, better condition LHD bus to go with it.
What am I talking about, get a Devon.

Yeah, that Westy interior is very, very nice!
Probably looking at a repro Devon interior with current funds, so LHD/RHD shouldn't matter too much?

Out of interest, how are Devon interiors fixed in place in the bus? Is it a complicated process?

Not complicated....but fiddly.
They actually are screwed to bulkhead... floor... engine panel. .. cant rail.. etc...
If you have to locate and drill the holes....takes time!

Just regular self-tappers? I assumed it would be bolted in place, or is that a bit OTT and unnecessary?

They are different styles and lengths of screws. All slot heads....
The pieces behind the division are dome headed black japanned wood screws. They do though holes and screw into the edge of the furniture.
They go through holes in the cargo door chanel etc.
Where visible they have black domed number plate plastic caps..
I did threaten to to a complete guide of what is used to fasten what with correct descriptions and sizes..
LOL
Oops SWMBO is coming to inspect the painting..GTG
