Cooker cupboard hinge

Cooker cupboard hinge

by type21f » Tue May 26, 2015 6:43 am
OK...so I am at the "Refresh Repair or Replace" stage.
Has anyone found a source for this hinge?

Image

It fits on the cooker cupboard door.... It has three screw holes on the flap which screws to the frame and two on the flap to the door.
I cleaned both of mine and noted that the upper one had lots of play, on examination it has been smashed and the frame is broken at the back.
Does anyone have a source of exact replacement or an OG one I can buy?
Please..

Mine works fine but I am sure my Grandsons will test it within an inch of it's life and it will stress the screw holes and expire.
I have fed the screw holes with plastic wood to give added life already...
Anyone?
OG with patina would be nice?
Interior collectors?

To be included in the same list as the other three is the highest of accolades! Can I call myself a true DIC now? :)

Yes I have a spare OG hinge - bought a leftover cooker unit door off here a few weeks back complete with hinges to transplant onto mine which is a bit flaky. The old hinges are good though, and aren't too shiny. However I'm still living out of a Premier Inn at the moment, hence why you haven't received your other bits yet, apologies. But persevere and keep that hinge alive as long as you can, there's a backup here for you.

P'S There are DICS and DICS and those listed are only the DICS that I know, have had the pleasure to handle first hand and I can truly say are amongst the nicest DICS AROUND and all in your way just as sad as me....

Ok Graham stop panicking. How many NOS hinges do you need? ;)
I might be persuaded to part with a beautiful correct shiny hinge although I'll miss getting it out late at night just to gaze at it.
On the other hand you could just buy Dan's .................

LOL

Just the one...the hinge is like a ....in a shirtsleeve.
It has been smashed and reattached with pliers and the screw holes are all oversize..
SO a nice chrome one would be fitting..
I looked on the Caravan Supplies site and in my meagre stash and could not see one to suit...

So all leads greatfully accepted..

I only have two and would really like to keep them as spares for our bus so maybe have a look at Dan's first. They were made by TCNS in Sheffield.
