Off to look at my VW Microbus drinks holder panel to see if the holes are there to show if there was a wooden rail like this fitted on the 62 Devonette...
It has the pole table which sits in the centre...but the edge sits up close (how close?) to the drinks holder...never thought about there being a wooden rail

I know there are holes for the "removed" ash tray holder But never though about that a piece of wood might have been attached...
PO removed most of the side seat and burned it on his log burner..But i suspect it had been butchered anyway..

Thats the very reason why I first posted it with available for two conversions 8O
this particular piece at first seems to be varnished like later busses but on close inspection it was originally French polished hence it can only be a early MK3 and definitely RHD because of the 3 screw holes are off set to account for the flat part of the indented wheel holder

I though yourself and Graham had mention that the Devonette could possible have had a bulkhead mounted table but I could not find any hard evidence....good luck on finding them holes

Now convinced here was no bulkhead table holder..
Only the lower rail or rail plus panel to fill thr gsp across thr bottom of tge drink tray up to the side face of the vertical fronted cupboard.
