I have a set of Dormobile trim to fit

Image

from another Dormobile..

I have found not found a suitable alternative so far...

OG Dormobile strip that was fitted has a hockey stick profile and no one makes it.. like this...

The curved pieces have a rib removed and have then been heated and bent round a former..

I can fit some 4cm wide foam filled PVC finisher but it is square edged and plain...I may then use vinyl headlining material to cover it to match the headlining and some ivory P wing beading between the PVC finisher and headlining to act as a bump strip so if you stand up suddehly your flesh does not impact in a sharp edge....

Still looking though...

AFAIK Domobile no longer use this and have no finisher..

We could get some extruded! LOL

Will post a picture of my solution.

The long side pieces I have has some of the inner profile lip broken off at the very ends..
The curved pieces have this inner profile lip removed.

Thanks Graham. I hadn't realised until these photos that the x-section is more like an F-section really. And I did wonder what you meant on an earlier post when you said the curved lengths have the 2nd lip removed! Is the "socket" in the F-section used for anything? Is something sliped into the gap? Or would a true hockey shaped extrusion do the same job?

My approach was to look for this as the best possibly available alternative...because this protects the sharp edge..
A flat section profile with a curved edge being an alternative with a piece of wing style p beading slipped in betweek might disguise the mismatch between a wavy edge and the hard straight edge of the profile..
The hockey stick or angled profile would achieve the same..

The original profile has the inner flange to achieve a slight stand off...again to protect the edge and hide the wavy edge..

Nope, nothing to show for several hours searching Graham!

Once I get to that part of my interior build I'll probably machine up edge trim in oak.

Although I do wonder whether it is worth finding out how much it would cost to get something custom-extruded. If enough of us want a set it may be worth looking into. If I had a small section I'd look into it but I haven't anything.

I have a full set..! BUT..
Even if extruded.. the curved end pieces would be a challenge to bend.
I also thought of having a tool made and extruding a minimum length...
Maybe I will get a quote!
