Recessed window holes into the back of a 66 panel van
Recessed window holes into the back of a 66 panel van
by Stevie G » Thu Feb 14, 2013 8:19 pm
Hi
Just bought a 66 splitty panel van, along with restoring it my initial idea is to turn it into a 11 window bus and build up to our own quirky spec from there. the one thing that has got my brain going over time is creating the new rear 4 windows (3 in one side and 1 in other, was just going to swap the twin cargo doors for window ones.
I'm pretty wet behind the ear with the bus thing, used to have and be into bugs before marriage and kids, now I / we are wanting back in
Any advice and recommends on doing the windows would be really appreciated
Many thanks

short of buying some recessed window sections, cutting big holes in your van and welding them in, bit of a problem. no small task in itself clearly, but possible.

Thanks for your reply, I've managed to get hold of some side panel cuts with windows, and from the trouble and cost, I guess I'm halfway there
