And like I said. Always go and see the bus before you part with any money, no matter what the advert says.
Good advice, Back in 2003 Keith had mag features and used this fact as good advertising for knocking out crap. I didnt know that at the time and was working 7 days a week just to pay the mortgage and keep the job, Compulsory overtime they called it but thats another story. A bank loan bought my SA import and obviously I wished I had done things different but I took the seller at his word. Be interesting to see if anyone goes to evaluate this bus in the flesh and see what they actually make of it. Those pics alone show me that bus is twisted from a very very hard life,

Sorry to hear that. And I agree with you about Buses from Africa and South America having had a harder life than others
Buyers just need to keep their eyes open and understand the costs of restoring.

I know there is some big projects under restoration worldwide I watch a few with interest but they tend to be earlier buses and in some cases you can obviously just keep spending till the jobs done and still not have wasted your money. In other cases you will just be chucking good money after bad and in the end wish you had done things differently. I dont want to come across like a troll or look like the splitty sales police but this one just took me right back and buyers should be aware a recent paint job can hide worse than you could imagine if your new to these old buses and not clued up on the lives some of these buses have lived in developing parts of the globe where make do and mend has been the order of the day for decades. Said my bit and probably too much also

Need to see photos of the chassis / cab floors / etc / etc before arranging a viewing, as it naturally needs a fair amount of work but the advert is missing important details.

Don't think you have to troll his for sale ad.
I bought a South African import from VW Relics in 2003 from a similar add and spoke with the seller on the phone to back up his description.
I payed the price and sent a transport agent to collect, Trading Standards got me my money back after the seller Keith told me to F off you get what your given. I speak from experience and you have been about long enough to know that bus is beat to death under that paint and still encouraging the guy. His add is not honest why should that be allowed to ride?

Hi guys,
As far as photos of the underside, sills, floors etc go please send me an e mail, or give me a call. I have literally 100s of photos that I'm happy to send out, but it takes a long time to upload them all onto photo-bucket and then link into here and people want different things! if there is a specific shot you want just let me know!
Thanks, Tom

You can upload direct into the forum, you don't need to use photobucket type sites anymore.

I will, like others, be interested to see what you have for sale from this venture in the future.
I hope you can also update this ad to more accurately represent this bus. Happy to help with this via PM if you want.

Having previously worked on 4 buses imported from South Africa , there work an quality is dubious to say the least , As everything is done to just keep the vehicle on the road , You can clearly see that the roof is very badly deformed and as such the whole bus appears to be Kinked down the loading door side....
As for describing it as a " Gem" .....
Finally if You have literally hundreds of pictures of the underside of the bus ...... Learn how to use photobucket Quickly, Clearly it's what your NOT showing in your pictures that gives a true impression of the vehicle, Because your description is Iffy an your photos are vague, You are Already establishing a repution for Your new company that You probably DON'T want.....
As others have said, I fear you will pray on the inexperienced Newby owner who takes out a huge loan Just to buy it , And realises that they are way in over there Heads and has to get rid of it
I pray this isn't So......

VWrelics is a totally different thing! I read but avoided...
Are you are trader?
Having bought so many buses?
I know of another "silent trader" who has brought out some lovely buses from this part of the world..

Not all Kenyan will be in bad shape, I know this bus is probably not the best example but my friend had a bus imported from Kenyan. Someone in the UK forces found and brought back to the UK, it was straight, no dodgy welding, it even came with a load of history. The bus actually belonged to a German doctor had it pre-ordered and exported to Kenyan where he was working.
As mentioned it's always best to visit and check out a bus before actually paying for it.
Thanks
