1961 DOUBLECAB.-SOLD
by reggie1 » Sat Feb 27, 2016 5:32 pm
After another year hardly using my doublecab i have reluctantly decided to sell him.
He is a 1961 South African Crewcab,I cannot seem to put up pics on here as i'm useless with computers!
But i'm happy to send some if you give me your email.
he was imported in 2007 and I have had the van for 3 years.
A great solid bus needing to be used rather than sitting in the garage!
I have done less than 3000 miles in the 3 years.
Had loads spent on him over the years, a full file of paperwork comes with the van.
I want £23K. Get in touch for any further info/pics etc if you are interested.

Do not know if this works, might save me sending everyone pictures!

Shame to see your selling Pete.
Anyone interested in this pickup won't be dissapointed. A very clean example and RHD too.
Good luck with the sale mate

I was wondering if this had been lowered, and if it is still using reduction boxes? Thanks Miles.

Lovely double cab, GLWS. Just to confirm is it a 61 with the wrong lights or is it a later bus registered incorrectly ?

Cheers Chris, will be sorry to see him go but just not using him enough. Yes miles Claude has been lowered, will give more details tomorrow, it was done before I got him by T2D I think. They did quite a bit of work, I have been told my description is rubbish, It does have the wrong indicators James , it is a 1961,

Additional info- the van has had rear suspension fitted with coilovers all around.
Front disc brake conversion and servo.
High ratio gearbox.
Creative engineering steering rack.
Narrowed front beamed spindles etc.
Inner and outer sills, jacking points and some flooring replaced.
I spent our first winter wirebrushing and painting the whole underneath so I know its solid.
