Trying to decide what tyre size to go for on a 6 x 16 fuch alloy.

Is anyone using this size wheel?

I had a set on my Bug, 6's on the front & 7's on the back, was using 195/45 on the front. I sold them to a guy on here that was going to put them straight onto his split so I guess it depends what height you are running at for the amount of arch gap...

The set I have is 6 & 7's. Was thinking of a 195/45 as you say but wasn't sure how they would look.

They look great on the wheel, I was running 205/50 on the 7's at the back, but as I said I had them on a bug, I will see if I have any photos when I sold them, but cant help you with how they would look on your bus..

A friend had 16 at the rear only, do not know the tire size I´m afraid

I have 6's and 7's and run 195/45 front and 225/45 rear, should be a piccy somewhere in my build thread from a while back... cant link easily on my phone sorry.

Wejjy, found your old thread, that bus looks awesome, tyres look just 'right' too

Gonna go with 195/45's up front and 205/55's out back.

Lots going on at the moment with my bus, but will post a pic when they're on

16's look better on a bus than 15's in my opinion as well.

Just an update for anyone that's interested!

Tried a 205/55 on the 7x16 on the rear, but couldn't get that to squeeze under the wheel arch.

Next up was a 195/55, that gives exactly the same rolling radius as a 185/65 15", and success

Was a tight fit with a bit of wrestling, but on she went. Jacked the hub back up, reconnected the shock bolt and all good clearance wise.

Will post a pic soon, next up is the front!

I've got 6s and 7s to go on so this thread is handy. What rear suspension have you got??

Rear suspension is CE IRS. I've had the stub axles and rear hub machined, 10mm off, to allow fitment of the centre caps, otherwise the caps won't fit due to stub axle protrusion.

Finally, got the wheels on, and got round to posting a couple of pics. Really like the rears, the deep rim looks mega, still deciding on the front
