Finding the walk through seat sections and the seats themselves is the hard bit...
...with most busses now too expensive to cut up, the availability of good body cuts is getting less.

It's dead easy, if you do it like the US and Indonesian imports I've seen.... Just hack out the seat back and fit some new seats....
Don't bother about belly pans / strengthening work / replacing the tool chest section...!

From what I've seen you could even start off with a bulkhead walk-thru bay window and convert that to a 15 window RHD walkthrough splitvwJim wrote:It's dead easy, if you do it like the US and Indonesian imports I've seen.... Just hack out the seat back and fit some new seats....

too do it properly, you need the walkthrough bulkhead seat back metal work from another van and some walkthrough seats
LHD will be a lot easier to source than RHD….
its not a massive job if you have those
if your not fussy….you could hack a bay walkthrough for its bulkhead seat backs and seats, but this is gonna impact your re-sale values if the bus isn't a keeper
Sourcing the metal work and seats is by far the biggest challenge of the conversion

There are plenty of buses with the bulkhead just cut out and they haven't sagged or excessively twisted. You could add some strengthening and also underside. Then you could fit captain seat bases and get the benefit even a walk thru doesn't have

If you do the conversion make sure you carefully un-pick the original bulkhead so that it can be used by someone restoring a bus with a hacked bulkhead

Shame, looked like a reasonable bulkhead, he could have sold that for a few hundred quid and helped save another bus
