wiper arms for safari windows
wiper arms for safari windows
by ernie » Sun Jun 14, 2015 4:33 pm
Hi all,
Just fitted some new wiper blades on my bus which is fitted with safari's.
The right hand wiper (the one of the left when looking at the front of the bus) has a kink in the end, so is sitting off the safari's at a funny angle, as per the photo below..
Is this usual as it would appear that a straight one would sit better, as it does on the other side??

also, how tight should you do up the little bolt which holds the wiper arms to the spindles?
If you do it up reasonably tight the wiper arms do not move onto the windows as the spindles do not appear to rotate - by doing it not so tight the wipers move onto the screen, but the bolt gouges at the metal of the spindle - this seems like a poor design, unless i'm missing something?
thanks
ps - couldn't seem to edit my original post, hence the reason for the 'reply'
