steering column bolt size or who sells?
steering column bolt size or who sells?
by Crooky » Tue Jul 07, 2015 8:17 pm
forgive the terminology - I have lost the two bolts that go through the steering column support plate and through the plastic sleeve thing!
There are only two bolt holes and it holds the steering column rigid.
Who sells these or what size do I need? Hope that makes sense!

DO you mean Item 10 on this parts diag from Custom & Commercial - they are the shiny crossheaded screws that fit by the knee protector bracket...

Think they are M6's with round Philips heads (or posi-drive)
Screw fix will sell you a hundred for a few quid, either stainless or standard steel.
No need to get the specific ones from a VW supplier (they'll just be getting them from a standard nut and bolt supplier and putting them in nice labelled bags for you)
If you want original ones then speak to one of the VW parts breakers (Volksheaven, FBi Etc etc)
Hope that helps
