How to add pictures to a forum post
by miles » Sat Dec 19, 2015 11:49 pm
This is how you add a picture to a forum post.
Two ways to do this:
1.Click on the attachments option ( underneath Save Draft, Preview, and Submit) options:
Click the Add Files button.
Select one or more images (you want to add to a message). Hold down the shift key(to select more than one image).
Click the Open button.
The images will be uploaded.
Once uploaded, (you will see them), position (your cursor) where you want to add the images, and click the Place inline button.
You will see an "" appears in your forum post (message).
Click the Submit button, to (finish) your forum post, or Previewto see what it will look like.
2. If you are using a third-party image hosting service like flikr,
You need to link your image (in flikr) to your Post.
Click the Insert Imagebutton, OR just copy these tags into your message:
""
Put the website address of your image in between the tags.
For example http://chocksaway.com/blog/wp-content/u ... hield1.png would go in between the
Click the Submit or Previewbutton.

Hi Miles
Can you do one of these showing how to put up your own avatar, plus resizing photos to use as an avatar because this can be a nightmare to do!
Cheers John.

The site had gone over it's limit again, Paul extended it again last night, so should be okay for a while now.

These will be specified within PHPBB (the forum itself).

I started adding my photos directly because of the Photobucket issues, but for some reason they are duplicating and the attachments are also showing. Look t the last post on my thread to see what I mean....
Any idea why this is?
