Lower trailing arm threaded pin
Lower trailing arm threaded pin
by telleir » Thu Mar 10, 2016 10:27 pm
Hi guys,
While removing the nut that locks the shock from
the lower trailing arm, the threaded part snapped.
Does anyone make these parts? (As seen in pic)
I see a lot of people use new pins when using a narrowed beam!
Thanks for your answer!

You can weld a new threaded part on then just clean it up with a file so you can get the shock back on.
Cut the head off a bolt and use that.
Cheers, Lee.

.....or drill out the 3mm pin holding the stud in the trailing arm. Then set up your trailing arm in the pillar drill and find centre of the stud and drill it out. You can then machine up a new stud, drill thru for a new roll pin and you've done the job properly.
I've just done both mine after narrowing the trailing arms

If you can't do it yourself / don't have a local machinist to do it for you, you could trade it in for a stock arm with someone that narrows then?
