Roof gutter

Roof gutter

by DJDUNKY » Fri Mar 11, 2016 8:42 pm
Hi all,
I'm stripping back to bare metal and am on the roof gutters.

There appears to be filler or more likely a seam sealer all around the edges where the flanges meet?

What should I use before repainting?

Thanks

We welded up all the holes, blasted, primed and then wiped seam seal all the way around. Seems to have worked well.

There IS a seam seal in the gutters from factory - to seal the edge of the curved roof top panel to the lower gutter afer spotwelding.

When doing welding repairs this needs to get dug out (its only thin) and ideally resealed when finished.

Most people suggest using something like Tiger Seal.
