Technical section? Possibly, possibly not so apologies.....

Who's best for the supply of old style plates...black ones.

What size is right...looks right for a 62. Will be a 3/3 plate.

Ta in advance

For a 3 3 plate the digit sized should be 3 1/2"....
Not 3 1/8" which was used when the letter codes came in..
So unlike the ones for Peebles which are readily available on eBay...and not expensive..

I have the same question..
I want pressed ally plates in the oblong style with an ally border for the front and square for the rear.
Yours was a usa bus with off stand mount on the rear which my 62 will not have..
For even earlier buses people have gone for the all black plates wirh silver raised plastic digits.
I bought these for the fire truck because this has black wheels and bumpers and whilst they look really good..the metal retainers on the back for the plastic digits went Rusty..which peed me off.
There are several suppliers for 3 1/2" digit plates but none are cheap..
I like some I saw at the practical classics show and have photos but not on this phone ...Maybe on the tablet..

Try "Framptons".
They have been good in the past.

Another vote for Framptons here. The raised riveted white letters style look good.
