Heat exchanger cable fitment
Heat exchanger cable fitment
by Iranu148 » Wed Mar 27, 2019 7:54 pm
I'm just about to fit a new heater cable. I've cleaned the tubes and stripped the heater control knob assembly. The manual says the longer cable goes in the right hand guide tube, but doesn't state if that's looking from the rear of van to front or vice versa. Any help appreciated, ta.

Down the right hand tube when you're sat in the van facing forward... the offside. I think the reason is cylinders 1 and 2 sit slightly further back on the block, as does the HE.

I can’t remember off the top of my head but as said above if you look at the staggering if your cylinders and heat exchangers it will make sense - one side is slightly further forward
