What wheels have you got now and how much clearance from the rear tyre to the arch? It will give us an indication of what sort of rear suspension you have and the track it gives you.

Boxster rears are very wide so I think you'll struggle. I've got 7J 911 Cups at the moment (7Js all round). I think I could get 8Js in there and maybe 9J at a push but it would be very very tight. A lot of Boxster rears are 9J.

I can't even get 7j 16" Boxsters on the rear of mine - well pi**ed off..... and I'm running clamps, 944 steel arms and porker hubs, discs etc.

PS if anyone knows how to get em to fit LET ME KNOW, you'll make an old man very happy (and that don't happen too often lately!!)

Do they touch the arches or rub the spring plates?

Is the et of the wheels 52mm or 23mm?

If 52mm... check the hubs on the rear arms, is there an alloy spacer between the hub and wheel, if so, you'll need to remove the spacer and possibly fit shorter studs.

If there 23mm that could be your problem.

Hope this helps.

the et is 50 on the front 6 inch rims and 40 on the rear 7 inch rims, no spacer at all. Are you sure you have the 16 inch rims on ollie and not the 17's?

I only need about 10mm for em to fit

Have a look here

http://www.944racing.de/reload.php?urlt ... ichte.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and navigate to the bottom LH corner and click "felgengewichte"

ET40 is weird for a Genuine Porsche wheel. The only one I can see is the Boxster 8J rear???

Most post 86 wheels have ET of 52 or more.

Ello, yeah, I'm alright. Getting insanely close to having a driving bus now. Only the crappy weather is stopping me from getting out on the road!

Post up a piccy or a part number off teh back of the wheel. You should be able to find them on the Porsche Tech Info site.

Have you got any spacers between the spring plate and the trailing arms? Mine's got about 14mm per side but I'm on ali arms not steels but I would like to know more about yours because even though I've got a complete bay/creative setup ready to fit I'm actually more tempted to stick with Porsche steel IRS and clamps....

Hi

Right heres a piccie of the wheel and one showing (slightly blurry) the ET

Can't get the code as the wheel is on the bus at the moment - have had to put 6 inch on the rear and 7 inch on the front - bus is not on the road so don't worry!!
