I had problems with Gas burners in the past and now my Early Fuchs I,m having to run inner tubes and as on my Gas Burners before them now one of the Fuchs inner tubes has gone pop on the way to the MOT station is there a safe and reliable way to run early fuchs as daily wheels or do I need to give up and go repro

You can fit larger valves off a tractor and run them without inner tubes, works a treat on mine.

If you are running OG Fuchs or gasburners for that matter and decide to run them without an inner tube then you are in danger of having a rapid deflation if the tyre bead gets pushed off the rim slighty.

Modern car rims and replica Fuchs have a groove moulded in them to hold the tyre bead in place.

My original Fuchs don't have a groove to hold the tyre bead in place, so although I'm running tubeless tyres, I'm running them with an inner tube.

Fit a good quailty Michelin inner tube as the cheapo ones are rubbish. That cured my problems with punctures. The rough insides of the tubeless tyre seem to rub the cheapo inner tubes until they pinhole. I switched to Michelin inner tubes and have only had one puncture in 4 years.

i run early fuchs, i have inner tubes in back, and tube less in front, but got garage to put black rubber stuff on inner rims to make a good seal, one note of caution i had a flat at brighton breeze, had to buy new tyre my tyre guy pulled me over and the rims of the tyre were knackerd, reason the last garage did not fit right, ie my tyre guy turned the wheel upside down on his tyre machine, tyre went on a treat. if done with wheel other way up because of deep rims tyre can be a bug.er to fit.

I,ll take the rims to the tyre fitter today and see if there cheapo tubes if they are I,ll go the mitchelin route if he can source them thank,s for the input guys

Late 15" fuchs and 16" have the safety bead

my tyre place have said mitchelin dont do tubes for the tyre sizes I,m running so it,s the big valves for me not exactly happy but hey ho thems the breaks
