just got the chance of a 67 box hub to hub. will it fit my 64?

yes it will if your hub nuts on your gearbox are 46mm then everything is the same its just the gear ratois that are different.

If the question is "will it fit and function without having to modify etc" then yes, any gearbox from 59 to 67 will bolt straight in
There is a good possibility that the 67 box has the same ratios as your og 64 box. If it doesn`t then it`ll have a 4.12 diff (used on some 67 model gearboxes) as opposed to the previous 4.37. If it has the 4.12 this is a bonus as it`ll be slightly higher geared throughout.

you'll need a mate if only to lift a gearbox with drum to drum reduction boxes - speaking from experience

Sorry to crash the thread but do you have the 67 gear linkage shaft as I am needing one
Not the gear stick in the cab but the link bar for connecting the gear stick to the box.

the 67 trans will be 12 volt
-the starter pinion bush hole will be smaller - if you are 12 volt already, then you may have a 6v to 12 v conversion bush in your 6v trans with a 12 volt starter - if thats the case, then you just need a stock 12 volt bush - unless the new trans has one in already.
if you are running a 6 volt startr however it wont fit the 12 volt trans
you may also have a 6 volt flywheel 109 toofs a 12 volt is 130
the 67 may still be 6v
